Simulating Virtual Business Environments - Team building
Team building is the classic application. About half of the business simulations that are run have team building, or breaking the ice as an objective. The underlying theme should be to get the participants to talk and react with one another.
The simulation gives them a common goal to work towards - and hence something that they can all discuss. It also demands some kind of team structure which can be left to develop naturally from the characters of those taking part so that a hierarchy emerges.
Careful observation is needed for conclusions to be drawn about individuals, or the team.
